Primeur Marc Lagrange

From 9 December to 27 January, MPV Gallery presents a scoop by Marc Lagrange: Alla Grigorieva. In addition, we present a new series of 8 photos by photographer Marc Lagrange.
Marc Lagrange was born in 1957 in Kinshasa. His career path led him from engineering to photography and his creativity from fashion to art. With a preference for analogue over digital, the Antwerp-based Belgian artist seeks intimacy and emotion as opposed to artificial effects. Polaroid's 8×10 large format film, which produces incredible quality images, is more complex than other instant film formats, and a powerful example of its craft as well as its attention to detail: it can reproduce the texture of skin, emphasize natural curves and make his models stand out.
