MPV Gallery is particularly honored to be able to present Beat Zoderer's work during Art Rotterdam, following the current solo exhibition by Beat Zoderer in Museum Voorlinden. In Switzerland, Beat Zoderer is one of the most prominent artists. Zoderer takes everyday materials and uses them raw to build intricate structures. Those structures seem almost methodically built, based on a mathematical formula, but in reality they are pure randomness. The choice of materials brings frameworks, but the idea follows in the implementation. His intuition is therefore leading, and that is precisely what makes Zoderer's work instinctively attractive.

Zoderer's work is presented in combination with work by the German artist Rainer Splitt. A combination that you previously encountered at MPV Gallery in the exhibition 'Hin und Weg'. Rainer Splitt can be described as a process artist. The production process is an essential part of the aesthetics of the works. Splitt pours his paint onto a surface, lifts the pictorial plane and drains the paint vertically. The flow of the colored paint creates unplanned compositions. Expansion, cohesion and gravity form an amazingly precise shape, resulting in a colorful drawing.
