From 14 to 18 September MPV Gallery will be at Haute Photographie Amsterdam with work by photographer Gemmy Woud-Binnendijk (1973, NL).

GEMMY WOUD-BINNENDIJK
Gemmy Woud-Binnendijk (1973, NL) stills time with her photography to create new realities. Emotion, non-emotion and narrative use of light predominate in this. From this, images are formed close to a tranquil reality with a surrealist slant.

Project Porcelain and Feathers is all about new beginnings. After the loss of a loved one and the dark period related to it, this project is the start of a new chapter for Gemmy Woud-Binnendijk.

With one leg in reality, making a dive into the unknown and with the other leg still in a safe private bubble. Stillness, shapes, texture, softness, emotions and space play an important role in this series. In search of more light and space, but also in search of a new form of connection with the world around her.
