Jacques Frenken | De zestiger en zeventiger jaren
Jacques Frenken (1929) is one of the founders of Dutch Pop Art with his sawn and assembled images of saints. His art knows no boundaries; paintings, stained glass, still lifes and drawings are part of Jacques Frenken's oeuvre. Frenken won several prizes, including the Prix de Rome, and has exhibited in the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, the Van Abbemuseum in Eindhoven and the Noordbrabants Museum in Den Bosch.
MPV Gallery is therefore very pleased to be able to show an overview of the oeuvre of this Bossche artist. A selection from seventy years of art in various styles; from sombre to very cheerful paintings, and from minimalistic to exuberant work. The exhibition is curated by Majke Husstege Projects.
