Just Like Giants by David Rosado

Overview
In his work, David Rosado plays with the socio-cultural meaning we give to the figures and elements in his work. What are we actually looking at? Take the inflatable killer whale, for example. Its shape is all-determining for the perception. Although it helps to stay afloat like a life buoy, we still consider an inflatable figure only as an object to play with. Or take the series of numbers that keep recurring in his work. We automatically convert these into a plausible image. And that is exactly what the work of Just Like Giants is. A construction of plausible images with infinite possibilities in meaning, determined by our personal experiences.
