CAMERON PLATTER //
Cameron Platter (b. 1978, ZA) is a South African contemporary artist known for his eclectic and thought-provoking works. His work in drawing, painting, sculpture, tapestry, ceramics, video and digital appropriates and filters the vast amount of information available today in a very personal and idiosyncratic way. His postmodern and multidisciplinary approach to making art, blurs the distinction between high and low, and draws from such diverse sources as art history, ecology, psychedelics, fast food, advertising, therapy, education and consumerism.
BEAT ZODERER //
Beat Zoderer (1955, CH) predominantly uses everyday materials as a basis for his work. Inconspicuous everyday objects and materials from the DIY market are the components from which Zoderer combines his filigree works. PVC, building boards, rubber bands, or metal strips merge into radical optical structures, which can be surprising by their ease. Zoderer makes use of the materials within what at first appears to be methodical structures based on repetition or mathematical systems. However this is a deception, as each piece allows for an arbitrary element. The play with the questioning of the visual conventions makes his art surprising and winning.
DIEDERIK SCHNEEMANN //
Dutch artist & designer Diederik Schneemann (1979, NL) is best known internationally for works that balance between art and design. Applied art in the broad sense of the word, which conveys more than aesthetics alone. His works are characterized by evoking astonishment, a memory or a sentiment. In his use of materials and forms, he usually uses existing objects and forms that carry their own charge or story. Diederik Schneemann attracted great attention with his Matchbox cabinet and a chandelier of hundreds of brilliant perfume bottles.
BAS GEERTS //
Bas Geerts' work is characterized by an openness of form, a kind of agility that manifests itself on several levels simultaneously. In the first place, there is the play of colors. Bright hues enter into a synthesis and optically merge into new shades. Secondly, the painting itself seems to change according to the position the viewer takes in relation to the work.
ERIK BUIJS //
Erik Buijs creates animated figures out of clay or wax, deliberately leaving traces of the sculpting process. Due to the intriguing mix of the whimsical and childlike appearance of his figures, combined with somber undertones, Buijs' sculptures embody a peculiar yet powerful presence. These figures, seemingly playful but with a strangely idiosyncratic twist, offer a unique perspective on the human condition. Within their seemingly simple forms lie layers of depth, revealing both sensitivity and whimsy. Buijs masterfully connects the weighty aspects of human emotion with the innocent essence of childhood. This creates sculptures that resonate with viewers on an emotional level, an artistic fusion that manages to strike the sensitive chord of the human spirit.
JUKKA //
His artworks are no simple silent objects, but rather carry stories within them that unfold for those who listen. The subjects JUKKA depicts often have a powerful social message, born from his own emotions and those of the world around him, translated into a contemporary visual language. These stories are packaged in an attractive and lighthearted design, in which his craftsmanship is clearly visible. JUKKA's work is not only a visual pleasure, but also an invitation to reflect on the society in which we live. Each piece is a unique interpretation of the world around us. He invites you to explore his work and discover the stories hidden within.
