Robbert de Goede NL, b. 1969

"The art is to think and execute methodically, hole after hole, wire after wire."
As an artist and architect, Robbert de Goede (1969, NL) primarily studies human behavior in relation to their environment. De Goede creates enclosed spaces as the starting point for each composition, and explores within them. Each artwork requires drilling 2 to 4 thousand holes and connecting them with miles of wire. "The art is to think and execute methodically, hole after hole, wire after wire. The process is meditative. It is a constant repetition of the same steps that requires a concentrated flow."
