Ide André (b. 1990, The Netherlands) lives and works in Arnhem. Trained in performance at ArtEZ Arnhem, his painting practice is rooted in physical action and the residue of gesture. His works function as visual recordings of energy - traces of movement, rhythm, and intensity fixed on canvas. André has exhibited widely in the Netherlands and Germany, including solo exhibitions at MOYA, Billytown, and Gerhard Hofland. His work is supported by the Mondriaan Fund and included in several public and private collections.
