The Basement by Majke Hüsstege Projects

Art space, curatorial playground and nomadic art gallery

Majke Hüsstege Projects is a project space that provides a platform for contemporary art and promotes artistic development.

The exhibition program reflects the themes within contemporary art that together create the landscape of now.

Majke Hüsstege is all about art, innovation and creativity. In 2000, Majke took over the gallery that her mother had founded 30 years before. For 18 years, Majke Hüsstege focused on young and talented artists, exhibited at many art fairs and held many exhibitions. Through these activities, her gallery was named Gallery of the Year 2014. In september 2017, she founded Majke Hüsstege Projects, which allowed her to move away from the classic gallery space and its limitations. With its mobile and flexible platform that can take many shapes and forms, it now provides new dynamic opportunities.
